Indoor Season

The winter indoor travel season represents the most extensive and intensive segment of the club season, offering participants a unique opportunity for growth in both skills and strategic thinking. Spanning four months, from November through February, this season is meticulously structured to foster teamwork and competitive spirit among athletes. 

 

During this period, teams engage in rigorous training sessions and participate in various competitive events, all aimed at honing their abilities and enhancing their game intelligence. This dedication and preparation culminate in the prestigious USA Field Hockey National Indoor Tournament, where athletes can showcase their progression and skills developed throughout the season. Embracing this challenging yet rewarding experience is essential for those aiming to elevate their performance in indoor field hockey.

2026-2027 Indoor Evaluations

Phoenix Performance Academy is excited to announce that registration for the

2026–2027 Indoor Season is NOW OPEN!

Our indoor program is designed to provide athletes with a competitive, high-energy environment focused on skill development, game IQ, confidence, and long-term growth as athletes. PPA evaluations help our coaching staff create balanced training groups and competitive teams that challenge athletes while continuing to foster a positive and supportive culture.

Evaluations will be held for U12, U14, U16, and U19 athletes.

Evaluation Dates & Times

Sunday, June 28th

  • U12: 8:30 AM – 10:00 AM

  • U14: 10:15 AM – 11:45 AM

  • U16: 12:00 PM – 1:30 PM

  • U19: 1:45 PM – 3:15 PM

Monday, June 29th

  • U12: 5:15 PM – 6:45 PM

  • U14: 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM

Tuesday, June 30th

  • U19: 5:15 PM – 6:45 PM

  • U16: 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM

A makeup evaluation date may be added in August. More information will be shared if needed.

Important Information

  • Registration closes Friday, June 19th, 2026

  • Evaluation fee: $75

  • Payment due by Friday, June 26th

  • Team assignments will be released by Monday, September 7th

 

Veteran PPA athletes with 2+ years in the program are only required to attend one evaluation date, but are welcome to attend both. Athletes new to PPA are required to attend both evaluation sessions for their age group.

What Athletes Need

All athletes should bring:

  • Indoor stick

  • Shin guards

  • Mouth guard

  • Court shoes or sneakers

  • Water bottle

​

U10 Indoor Program

The U10 age group will not participate in evaluations. Our U10 indoor program is centered on development, fundamentals, confidence-building, and a fun introduction to indoor field hockey. Registration and additional details for the U10 season will be released separately at a later date.

A corner mask and left-hand glove are mandatory for this season.

We are looking forward to another exciting indoor season and cannot wait to continue building on the growth, passion, and competitive culture that makes PPA so special. We are excited to welcome both returning and new athletes as we continue to grow the game together.
